Bhagavad Gita 6.22

यं लब्ध्वा चापरं लाभं मन्यते नाधिकं ततः
यस्मिन्स्थितो न दुःखेन गुरुणापि विचाल्यते

जिस लाभकी प्राप्ति होनेपर उससे अधिक कोई दूसरा लाभ उसके माननेमें भी नहीं आता और जिसमें स्थित होनेपर वह बड़े भारी दुःखसे भी विचलित नहीं किया जा सकता।

Which, having obtained, he thinks there is no other gain superior to it; wherein estabished, he is not moved even by heavy sorrow.

Transliteration

yaṃ labdhvā cāparaṃ lābhaṃ manyate nādhikaṃ tataḥ
yasmin sthito na duḥkhena guruṇāpi vicālyate

अनुवाद

जिसे प्राप्त करके वह उससे अधिक किसी अन्य लाभ को नहीं मानता है, और जिसमें स्थित होकर वह भारी से भारी दुःख से भी विचलित नहीं होता है।

भावार्थ

यह श्लोक समाधि की उस अवस्था का वर्णन करता है जहाँ साधक को परम आनंद की प्राप्ति होती है। इस अवस्था को प्राप्त करने के बाद संसार का कोई भी भौतिक सुख या लाभ उससे बड़ा नहीं लगता। साथ ही, इस आत्म-साक्षात्कार की स्थिति में स्थित योगी जीवन के सबसे बड़े दुखों और कष्टों से भी विचलित नहीं होता है।

Translation

Having gained which, he does not consider any other gain to be superior to it, and established in which, he is not shaken even by the heaviest sorrow.

Meaning

This verse describes the state of ultimate samadhi or self-realization. Once this supreme state is attained, no worldly gain or pleasure seems superior to it. Furthermore, established in this divine consciousness, a yogi remains completely undisturbed even by the greatest of worldly miseries and calamities.
